Markdown

create_redirect, delete_redirect

Path forwarding from an old or short URL to an existing page.

Actions

create

Create a path redirect.

Parameters:

  • website — Website subdomain, domain, or UUID
  • source_path — Old/short URL to redirect FROM (e.g. /old, /go)
  • target_path — Existing page path to redirect TO (e.g. /about)
  • status_code301 permanent (default, for SEO migrations) or 302 temporary (mutable short links)

Redirects point at the target page object, so they auto-follow if the page is later renamed. Exact-match only; the source must not collide with an existing page path.

delete

Delete a redirect by its source path. Not reversible — requires confirmation.

Parameters:

  • website — Website subdomain, domain, or UUID
  • source_path — Source URL of the redirect to delete (e.g. /old)

Notes

  • Redirects never appear in sitemap/robots/llms.txt — sources stay crawlable.
  • get_page lists incoming_redirects for a page.
  • create_page / update_page accept an optional old_path that creates a redirect as a side-effect.
